Bedroom duo j. pastel return with new single ‘Strawberry Lemonade’. The project of Casey Bruce and Chase Durrett got underway last year, but it wasn’t until the release of ‘Senegal’ that the buzz started to build. Their second track brought the dancefloor to the ears, bringing a series of deep grooves that let the good times last and left you wanting more. Thankfully, it didn’t take long for ‘Strawberry Lemonade’ to come along and leave a refreshing taste that certainly quenches that thirst.

Turning the tempo down just a notch, ‘Strawberry Lemonade’ is a sweet tune that celebrates romance. Complete with intricate guitars, it revels in its slowed pace. Taking the time to fill the room with its beautiful sounds. It sets the perfect tone for the vocals to contribute their part; sounding sleepy as they float between the guitars and the gentle drums. The chorus is gloriously simple. Perfect for the Sunday-morning vibe of the song.

While ‘Senegal’ helped fill the dancefloor, ‘Strawberry Lemonade’ is for the following morning. It’s easy going nature is perfect for a lazy start to the day, and one I’ll always wish to have with me. This is the second song to come from j. pastel’s upcoming EP. Considering how much variety they’ve managed to show so far, I absolutely cannot wait to hear what’s to come.
